Mr. Makowski is currently the managing partner of IIBS, LLC, a manufacturer and global distributor of the “Eco-Ice System”. A revolutionary, patent-pending, self-contained, fully automated, bagged ice production system. The companies commitment in energy saving activities and helping other companies around the world acquire low cost ice production equipment is the corner stone of IIBS, LLC vision.

Prior to founding IIBS Mr. Makowski spent over 20 years in a number of roles in marketing and sales management at Kraft/General Foods, Ralston Purina and Quaker Oates/PepsiCo. He spent a brief period in the Private Equity sector, affiliated with Willis-Stein and Partners where he was involved in acquiring and merging regional snack food companies, grow distribution and drive operating efficiencies. The majority of Mr. Makowski’s business experience is centered around the growth of existing and mature brands as well as new product development activities within the dry and refrigerated categories of products. He has also experience in both warehouse delivered and direct (DSD) delivered distribution networks.

Mr. Makowski is the recipient of numerous marketing achievement awards for category development work at General Foods including the prestigious Phillip Morris Chairman’s award for his work in category turn-around activities.

Mr. Makowski is a graduate of Fairfield University (BS Marketing). He lives in Chicago with his wife and daughter. He enjoys golf, skiing, sailing, cooking and competitive shooting. He has been actively involved in numerous charities over the years including The Boys and Girls Clubs of NY and Boston, The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and PAWS Chicago (Pets Are Worth Saving).
